I’m so grateful to PBNC for detecting Lyra’s eye condition in 2007. I was even starting to think that Lyra might not be as bright as my other children. There’s no way I would have discovered she could barely see out of her left eye on her own. PBNC's persistence in keeping the urgency of getting Lyra checked by a doctor in front of me is the reason she has vision in both eyes. Today, it’s inspiring to see what an accomplished dancer Lyra is becoming because without vision in both eyes, this would be MUCH more difficult. There are so many things a dancer must be aware of visually. We make this cranberry sauce many times throughout November and December and the whole family loves it!
Pour water, gin, and sugars into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add cranberries, Mandarin oranges, and spices, and return to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes until mixture begins to thicken.
Allow to cool and refrigerate.
