pineapple with honey & lime

1 whole pineapple
1 1/2 whole limes
1/4 cup honey
or molasses or dark cane syrup
The honey and lime bring out the sweetness and tartness of the pineapple. The lime zest adds brightness. If you're tight on time, you can simply serve the pineapple with the skin on. Your guests can just bite off the fruit and leave behind the rind.
Cut the pineapple. Remove the top and the skin. Slice the pineapple in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 4 wedges. Slice off the tough inner core, then slice each wedge into 1/2-inch thick chunks. Arrange the pieces on the serving dish.
Grate the lime zest over the pineapple pieces. Squeeze the lime juice over the pineapple.
Drizzle with honey and serve.
