banana with lime

6 tbsp sugar
2/3 cup water
2 whole limes
6 whole bananas
When preparing this dessert as part of a meal, prepare it first. By the time you're done cooking and eating, this dessert will be ready to go!
Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Warm over low until the sugar dissolves. Cool the syrup.
Grate the lime zest into the syrup, then squeeze the lime juice into it. Stir to combine.
Peel the bananas and slice them thin. Marinate the banana slices in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
Serve the bananas in a small bowl with a spoonful of the syrup.
