Wild Rice with Leeks & Butter

1 package Rancho Gordo Wild Rice
2 tbsp Organic Butter
1 large Leek
cut into rings
2 sprigs Savory
chopped
Salt & Pepper
to taste
Excellent rice fortified by rich and earthy leeks and sharpened by savory.

Cook rice according to package instruction.

Ten minutes before rice is finished, start the leeks.

In a pan on medium heat, melt butter. When the butter is melted, add the leeks. Add salt. Cook for about 7 minutes, or until the leeks are tender.

Remove the pan from the heat.

Stir the savory into the leeks. Taste and season accordingly.

Combine the leeks with the cooked wild rice. Taste and season, one last time.

Rancho Gordo's wild rice is so delicious. This addition renders the rice decadent.
