Herbed compound butter has many applications; use on soups or stews, roasted meats or fish, or over an array of seasonal vegetables. Experiment with different combinations of herbs and spices to add a boost of flavor to any dish.
|In a small bowl, mix softened butter with shallots, minced herbs, and lemon juice.|
|Spoon mixture onto a sheet of parchment or plastic wrap. Shape into a log, about 4 inches long.|
|Place into refrigerator until ready to use.|
