We created this recipe when we had leftover taco meat, but no tortillas or taco shells. We almost always have ingredients for lavash pizza on hand, so we just decided to make a taco pizza variation.
 lavash1 whole
 pizza sauce 1/3 cup
 mozzarella1 cup
shredded, loosely packed
 American cheese1 slice
cut into strips, could also use shredded cheddar
 taco meat 1/4 cup
 tomatoes1 whole
thinly sliced or cut into a medium dice
 jalapeños or serrano pepper1 whole
sliced into thin rounds
 green onions
thinly sliced


Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Cut a piece of parchment paper that is larger than the lavash. Lay the lavash on it, then spoon and spread pizza sauce over the lavash. Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese, then layer on strips of American cheese.
Top the lavash pizza with taco meat, tomatoes, and jalapeños. Set the lavash pizza and parchment paper directly on the oven rack and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and browned.
Garnish with green onions and cilantro. Cut into squares. Share and enjoy immediately.
